1/17/25 - An iMac G3 finally acquired!

Some exciting news everyone… yesterday, the Facebook Marketplace gods have blessed me with their powers. We have a new member of our family :)

An indigo iMac G3! Is this thing awesome or what?! I cannot believe I got this for $60 in my area. I believe it is this type? It says “2000” at the bottom.

But yes... here comes a new era. My plan here on out is to learn all about this fine specimen. While he came with the keyboard, there was no mouse included and my one only mouse doesn’t work with him. I’ll wait until I can get a working mouse, and then I’ll try to install some games and software. I’m planning to go into Macintosh Garden or Macintosh Repository, read about everything, and install Kid Pix and Pajama Sam… oh yes…!
And oh, he is so much huger than I keep thinking he is. I find myself to keep glancing at this thang and be like “oh I am reminded by your sheer size and presence.” He sits on his throne.
